Privacy Policy
How Andrea Stanley Insurance Services collects, uses, and protects your information — and the rights California residents have under the CCPA/CPRA.
Contents
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through andreastanleyins.com (the "Site"), operated by Andrea Stanley, a California-licensed insurance broker (CA Insurance License #4410609) doing business through Benefits Plan of America. In this policy, "we," "us," and "our" refer to Andrea Stanley Insurance Services.
2. Information we collect
We collect personal information you give us directly — for example, when you fill out our contact form, call or text us, email us, or attend a workshop. This may include:
- Identifiers: your name, ZIP code, phone number, and email address.
- Inquiry details: the type of insurance you're asking about and any notes you share (best time to reach you, current coverage, etc.).
- If you proceed with a quote or enrollment, we may collect additional information required by the insurance carrier — such as date of birth, Medicare ID number, current medications, and beneficiary information. That information is collected and used only for the purpose of preparing and submitting your application.
- Technical information collected automatically: IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, and pages viewed. This information is collected through standard server logs and, if enabled, basic analytics tools.
You are not required to give us any information, but we cannot prepare a plan review without at least your ZIP code and a way to contact you.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to your request for a free plan review, quote, or general information.
- To contact you by phone, text message, voicemail, or email about Medicare, life insurance, final expense, or related insurance options you have asked about.
- To prepare and submit insurance applications to carriers on your behalf when you ask us to.
- To comply with applicable laws and regulations, including CMS Medicare marketing rules and California Department of Insurance requirements.
- To improve the Site, including basic analytics about how visitors find and use it.
We do not use your information for any other commercial purpose, and we do not sell your personal information. See Your California Privacy Rights below.
4. When we share information
We share your information only as needed to provide the service you requested or as required by law:
- With insurance carriers when you ask us to obtain a quote, schedule a Scope of Appointment, or submit an enrollment application. Once shared with a carrier, that carrier's own privacy notice governs how they use your information.
- With Benefits Plan of America, as the agency through which Andrea Stanley is appointed, for routine recordkeeping, compliance, and supervision purposes.
- With service providers who help operate the Site (for example, Netlify, which hosts the Site, and form-processing or email tools we use). These providers may only use the information to perform services for us.
- When required by law, such as in response to a subpoena, court order, or government investigation, or to enforce our rights or protect against fraud.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in data are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing.
5. Phone calls, text messages, and TCPA
If you give us your phone number through the contact form, by text, or by phone, you are agreeing that we may contact you by call, voicemail, and SMS text message at that number about your insurance inquiry. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Message frequency varies based on your inquiry.
- You may reply STOP at any time to stop receiving text messages, or HELP for help.
- We will never call you out of the blue. We only contact people who have asked to hear from us.
- Medicare Advantage enrollment calls are recorded as required by CMS and retained per CMS recordkeeping rules. Other calls are not routinely recorded.
6. Cookies and tracking
The Site uses minimal cookies and similar technologies needed to make the Site work and, optionally, to measure basic analytics such as page views and form submissions. We do not use cross-site advertising trackers, and we do not allow third parties to track you across other sites from this Site.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings. The Site will still work without them.
7. Data security
We maintain reasonable physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards designed to protect your personal information. Access to your information is limited to Andrea Stanley and authorized representatives of Benefits Plan of America who need it to serve you. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but we treat your information with care.
8. How long we keep information
We keep your information for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, service any policy issued through us, comply with applicable record-retention laws (including CMS requirements for Medicare-related records, currently a minimum of 10 years), and resolve disputes. If you ask us to delete your information and we are not required to keep it, we will do so.
9. Your California privacy rights (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you the following rights with respect to your personal information:
- Right to know what personal information we have collected about you, the sources we collected it from, the purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties (if any) we shared it with.
- Right to delete personal information we collected from you, subject to certain legal exceptions (for example, we may have to keep certain Medicare-related records to comply with CMS rules).
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA, and we have not done so in the prior 12 months. There is no "sale" or "sharing" for you to opt out of.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes beyond what is necessary to provide the services you request.
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 13. We will need to verify your identity before responding, typically by confirming information you have previously provided to us. You may authorize an agent to make a request on your behalf with written permission.
10. Children
This Site is intended for adults. We do not market to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information through this Site, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Third-party sites and tools
The Site links to third-party sites we work with, including Ethos Life (instant life insurance quotes) and the workshop registration page at usmedi.care/twfg/. When you click through to one of those sites, your information is handled by that third party under their own privacy policy, not ours. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will show the most recent revision. Material changes will be posted on this page; please check back periodically.
